FIGHT CRIME & FRAUD

California is in the middle of a violent, property and white collar crime wave.

As a personal example, when your Lieutenant Governor candidate David Fennell was out with his wife for a daylight walk at Sun Valley Mall in Contra Costa County he suddenly witnessed a robbery at Macy’s with criminals taking arm loads of goods from Macy’s and loading them into a criminal’s get away car.

Being an Eagle Scout David Fennell ran into the Macy’s and reported the crime to Macy’s security pointing out that the car was still outside with his wife watching the criminal’s vehicle.

However, Macy’s explained that under the new Proposition 47 they no longer reported shop lifting to the police. Under Prop 47, you can go into a store and steal up to $950 worth of merchandise and it’s not even charged as a felony. It’s not even a slap on the wrist.

The problem is if you remove the consequences for theft, it causes a lot more theft.

Two months later just down the street in the City of Walnut Creek and nearby Hayward more than 80 criminals flooded into the Walnut Creek department stores and made off with thousands of dollars of goods. Later a group armed with hammers struck at Hayward’s Southland Mall. They stormed into jewelry stores smashing glass cases and grabbing jewelry, and fled in waiting vehicles.

This crime wave needs to stop!

Few Californians realize that the California Lieutenant Governor sits on the California Emergency Council (CEC) which is the official advisory body in California for emergencies and on matters pertaining to emergency preparedness and public safety.

The Council was established under the Emergency Services Act in the California Government Code Section 8575-8582.

With attacks on our citizens, particularly in the Asian community, and property and white collar crime on the rise it is time for the California Lieutenant Governor to do his job and meet with the Emergency Council and put a plan together with Federal, State and local law enforcement to address crime in California.

In addition, because police are no longer taking reports for property and white collar crime the statistics falsely show that crime in California is going down but the reality is the crime is on the rise and our communities are becoming less safe.Crime is just not being reported by police but you can see the videos on YouTube.

Finally, the new tech IPOs is creating billionaires in Silicon Valley but also attracting white collar and political criminals to Northern California (ie. Solyndra, Theranos, etc.)

Since crime follows the money it should surprise nobody that with the tech billions that New York Wall Street crime and Chicago style political influence peddling has followed the money to California.

David Fennell was elected Chairman of the Oakland Crime Prevention Council and has also worked with Federal, State & local law enforcement to report and enforce white collar, violent and property crime in California.

One reason David Fennell is running for office is there is so much crime and fraud that is not being addressed in California that business are leaving the area as they cannot compete with fraud and property crime that is plaguing our state.

This will change when you elect David Fennell for Lieutenant Governor.

David Fennell will enforce the law.
